almost certainly by Harrington, USA circa 1880, with nickel-plated ovoid 2 3/4in. barrel, blade fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, the plain top-strap marked 'BRITISH BULLDOG', plain plated solid frame and five-shot fluted cylinder, spurred hammer and the trigger with traces of colour, chequered hard-rubber birdshead grips, the whole retaining virtually all its original plated finish
